Fashion & Foodies: Prada Caffè Opens in London

Bringing a taste of Milano to London, Italian fashion brand Prada have collaborated with Harrods to launch a unique pop-up café.

Swathed in velvet and decked in Prada’s signature black-and-white chequered flooring, the (very in-season) mint hued café is reminiscent of the original Prada boutique which opened in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in 1913.

As a luxury fashion house, the launch of this café is a notable departure from the traditional realms of fashion as the Prada Group hopes to further the experiential and engaging elements of the brand for consumers. In a statement, the designer brand noted the café is a ‘blend of modernity and history, tradition and innovation that is quintessentially Prada, and which we hope will ensure your visit is both unique and memorable.’

At the Prada Caffè, style goes beyond the décor as breakfast, lunch, dinner alongside various other nibbles and refreshments are served on exclusive duck egg blue porcelain, emblazoned with the Prada logo. Even the sugar packets are branded with the brand name. Every detail of Harrod’s Prada Caffè is utterly Instagrammable.

With prices starting from just £3.50 for a fresh juice, the designer café provides unique accessibility to a luxury brand experience at a relatively small price – that is most definitely less than a bag. The menu offers an array of Italian inspired eats from pastries and pizettes, to traditional Italian dishes, a selection of fresh juices and of course, coffees - most of which are also available for takeaway.

There is no doubt that this café is set to be a go-to location for those seeking a little luxury or a (literal) taste of the Prada brand.

The Prada Caffè opened on March 31, and has been confirmed to remain in-situ throughout the summer until the end of 2023.
