From the outset, it might seem that the Kingdom and Monaco have little in common.

However, Saudi Arabia's AlUla and Monte Carlo, in the European country of Monaco share a common thread in their dedication to preserving heritage amid modernity.

Both destinations boast rich historical legacies, each offering visitors a glimpse into their cultural pasts through architectural marvels and ancient sites, and it is impossible to deny that each country is home to internationally successful businesses and entrepreneurs.

Despite cultural differences and significant geographical distance, both Saudi and Monaco equally prioritise fostering an enchanting blend of tradition and contemporary allure.

And, now there is another commonality - Sass Cafe: a new international pop-up has opened in AlUla, hailing from Monaco, Sass will be plating up good vibes and chic dining all night long.

We all know AlUla truly comes alive in the cooler winter months. The city of AlUla is well known as a rustic, earthy and luxurious escape from reality. Not limited to just one element of escape, is also home to a number of exciting restaurant experiences, art showcases and high-octane music events.

Now a Monte Carlo institution is opening in the AlUla desert as a limited edition pop-up space.

Since 1993, Sass has been long-adored in Europe as an indulgent, lavish, family-run dining and dancing destination, and it is set to bring something different to the AlUla desert; intertwining classic Mediterranean dishes with Uruguayan Open Fire Live Cooking displays, guests will vibe to the beats of the resident DJ in the sultry surrounds of opulent swathes of red velvet and animal print with ambient lighting flowing from decadent chandeliers.

Dine on a curated menu designed to suit everyone whilst offering only the highest quality dishes, such as Black Cod with Yuzu Miso, Tuna Tartare and Truffle Pizza. And for dessert, the expertly designed AlUla menu acknowledges the region with an artisanal Date Ice-Cream.

This will be the second Sass Cafe pop up in the region, as visitors were also treated to brand's European charm during the 2019 Winter At Tantora celebrations.
