Over eight weeks, Riyadh will host the world's largest gaming and esports event, Gamers8: The Land of Heroes.
The second edition of the festival is set to serve as a gathering place for talented esports champions and passionate gaming enthusiasts from across the globe. It has become a renowned destination for those who love the gaming universe, and must-visit on the calendars of gaming fanatics.
Beginning on July 6, the second edition of the Gamers8 festival will conclude on August 31 with a prize-giving, the Gamers8 Club Awards.
Music Concerts
Not just a convention for lovers of online gaming and esports, Gamers8: The Land of Heroes will also be celebration of great music. Every Friday, fans and festival-goers will experience massive music shows from both local and international talent with a series of concerts.
One of the most anticipated moments of the Gamers8 event will be the opening headliner of the the 2023 concert season: local Saudi Arabian music star Rabeh Saqer. Set to perform at the Mohammed Abdu Arena at Boulevard Riyadh City on Friday July 7, Saqer will kick off 8 weeks of incredible events where guest performers from the Kingdom and afar will perform for the crowd every Friday night.
Four-time Grammy award-winning hip-hip-rap star, Macklemore, has been confirmed to be the second star to take to the stage at Boulevard Riyadh City. On July 14, fans will be treated to a high-energy show with all of the star's top hits including Thrift Shop, Glorious and Can't Hold Us Down.
Adding to the star-studded line up for the Gamers8 concert series will be American alternative rock-pop band, Imagine Dragons. On July 28, the band will entertain crowds with their now iconic anthems such as Believer and Demons.
More big names are set to be released over the coming weeks, adding the already exciting line up for the Gamers8 concert series.
Gaming Tournaments
Throughout the eight weeks of the festival, several esport tournaments will take place.
The overall prize pot comes to a jaw-dropping $45,000,000.
This massive prize will be split across a number of esporting tournaments, where individuals and teams from around the world will compete against each other to get a sliver of the prize money and win the glory of being Gamers8 champions.
Top gamers and gaming teams from around the world will compete for multi-million dollar prizes in head-to-head battles in games like Fortnite, Tekken 7 and StarCraft 2 and more. However, the largest prize pool of $15,000,000 has been set aside for the Riyadh Masters of Dota2 in a real time 5 v. 5 game of strategy.

Game Development Zone
Hosted by the Saudi Esports Federation, Gamers8: The Land of Heroes will encourage and support the development of the gaming community and the esporting industry in Saudi Arabia.
Professionals and beginners alike will be able to attend and participate in number of courses relating to creation and development the gaming industry such as sound design for games, character animation techniques and VR/AR development.
Gamers and gaming fanatics will also be able to attend one-to-one tutorials on esport training.
