Jeddah, are you ready for the Saudi Feast Food Festival?

Last year the Saudi Feast Food Festival took place over the course of a week in Riyadh's King Saud University, but this year the food festival is heading to Jeddah.

From November 27 to December 6, Jeddah's Abadi Aljohar Arena will come alive with all the exciting happenings of the Saudi Feast Food Festival.

What to expect at Saudi Feast Food Festival in Jeddah?

Aimed to cater to the entire family the Saudi Feast Food Festival has plenty of workshops, activities and demonstrations going on.

Discover authentic flavours and rich history of Saudi's favourite dishes at the Culinary Arts Heritage zone. Here visitors will be able to taste the flavours of traditional Saudi Arabian dishes and experience authentic Saudi hospitality in the welcome area. Later in the evening, visitors to the Saudi Feast Food Festival can also expect to enjoy a selection of theatrical performances and  spectacular showcases from local dance troops and Arabic singers.

The food focussed festival will celebrate the Year of the Camel with a special area, which will showcase a selection of camel and camel milk delicacies to try or take home, alongside a number of educational sessions where both children and adults can learn more about the incredible indigenous animals of the desert. A dedicated kids area will offer a range of engaging workshops and interactive experiences, fostering cultural awareness and environmental consciousness in a fun and interactive way.

Foodies can learn more about complementing flavours and perfect pairings at a number of workshops hosted by culinary professionals and well-known local and regional chefs. During the food festival a live cooking competition will also take place; here professionally trained chefs will compete in cooking up the most delicious local and authentic Saudi dishes. The competition aims to encourage experimentation and innovation in Saudi cooking and dining, whilst also supporting and showcasing the talents of up-and-coming Saudi chefs.

What would a good festival be without some shopping? In the market area, a selection of talented local artisans and craftspeople will showcase, and sell their works, from accessories to handicrafts, homewares and textiles.
