The landscape of the Tuwaiq cliffs is undergoing a jaw-dropping transformation with the arrival of Aquarabia. Sneak peek images of the soon-to-open water park show several giant camels and desert foxes carved into the cliff face.
The Tuwaiq cliffs are undergoing a jaw-dropping transformation as Aquarabia prepares for its debut. Recently released preview images offer us a glimpse into the park's striking design, featuring colossal camels and desert foxes expertly carved directly into the rock face, overlooking the entire park.
Officially Saudi Arabia’s first home-grown water theme park, Aquarabia opened to the public just after the Eid Al-Fitr holidays. Located 40 minutes southwest of Riyadh (45 km from downtown and 70 km from King Khalid International Airport). Both Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya City act as key pillars of Saudi Vision 2030, in creating jobs and inspiring entertainment experiences, and encouraging tourism to the Kingdom.
Zones of Aquarabia
The waterpark is divided into eight zones inspired by the local environment and Saudi wildlife: Camel Rock, Viper Canyon, The Den, Wave Wadi, Herding Grounds, Arabian Peak, Surf Lagoon, and Dhub Grotto. Each section will house a selection of different experiences, catering for all tastes in entertainment; from those who are looking for extreme thrill, to family friendly rides and one-of-a-kind experiences.
What rides and waterslides can we expect at Aquarabia?
Aquarabia has been engineered to push the boundaries of aquatic engineering, debuting with 22 rides and attractions across the eight themed and immersive zones and areas.
Spanning 250,000 square meters, the waterpark is nearly 50% larger than any existing aqua fun destination in the region. Announced in February 2022 in partnership with the Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC), Aquarabia follows the successful inauguration of its neighbouring entertainment destination, Six Flags Qiddiya City, which opened to the public on December 31, 2025.
Let's take a look at the top attractions, waterslides and thrill rides at Aquarabia in Qiddiya City.
World-Record-Breaking Rides & Signature Experiences
Pushing the limits of engineering and expectations, these signature rides have been specifically designed and tested to break boundaries (and world-records!) and offer waterpark goers a new, once in a lifetime experience.
- Junoon Drop at Camel Rock: Set to be the world’s tallest water coaster, standing at over 42 meters (12 stories) high. Junoon Drop features a near-vertical descent and utilises a unique seven-person raft — the only one of its kind globally.
- Speedy Jamezales at Camel Rock: This ride will be the world’s tallest AquaLoop; an AquaLoop is an extreme, high-thrill body water slide with a breathtaking near-vertical, 360-degree loop. Speedy Jamezales will feature a translucent fibre glass slide featuring a "trap door" start that sends riders into a high-velocity free fall.
- Slithereel at Viper Canyon: Another ride for the world records, Slithereel will be the world’s longest SlideWheel, a rotating slide structure that combines the motion of a Ferris wheel with the physics of a water slide to create an optical illusion of shifting gravity.
- Jamal Joom / Jamal Rush at Camel Rock: The world’s longest and tallest mat and bodyslude racer, stretching 232 meters and incorporating "Mat Blaster" technology for powered uphill sections.
- Aquaticar - Legend of the Glowing Guardians at Viper Canyon: A global first in theme park technology, this underwater ride allows guests to pilot fully submersible vehicles through a bioluminescent artificial reef. In a duo, riders will descend nine feet below the surface of the water in a subaqua-vehicle and enjoy the underwater adventure, where special sensors trigger audio-visual surprises for an unforgettable ride.
Thrill & Adventure Rides
Let's be real, these are the rides that we all have on our list, from high climbs to sharp drops, twists, turns and surprise splashes, these are the rides and experiences that every water park lover will enjoy.

Intense spirals combined with heart-pounding drops will have this one top of your list to ride again.
