Saudi Arabia has officially announced a four-day weekend to commemorate the nation's 94th National Day.
An extended National Day holiday has been announced by government officials: celebrated annually on September 23, Saudi National Day celebrates the unification of the Kingdom in 1932.
This year with the National Day falling on a Monday, it was speculated (and now confirmed) that the Kingdom would be granted an extra long weekend. Employees in both the public and private sectors will benefit from a four-day weekend, inclusive of Sunday, September 22 and Monday, September 23.
A major community celebration across the nation, Saudi National Day is marked by a series of patriotic events, including colourful parades, fireworks displays, and cultural performances taking place across the Kingdom.
Saudi National Day Theme 2024
Reinforcing the 2023 National Day theme, the Kingdom will once again celebrate Saudi National Day 2024 under the theme or slogan of "We Dream, We Achieve."
Honouring the past, present and acknowledging the future, National Day is a time to reflect and envision the bold potential of the Kingdom's future.
Resonating with both residents and citizens, the renewed celebration theme of "We Dream, We Achieve," highlights the significant progress made by Saudi Arabia in various fields and showcases the country's leading role as a pivotal nation in the region.
This theme also reflects the Kingdom's continued progress and unwavering commitment to realising its ambitious goals, and the pillars of Vision 2030. Last year the theme truly resonated with residents and citizens of Saudi, and the celebrations served as a reminder of the nation's remarkable journey and its bright future.
