Sailing enthusiasts get ready, as Jeddah is set to host three major sailing events this year.
Jeddah's exceptional sailing conditions and the unique opportunity it offers to witness the race from the stunning shores of the Red Sea, result in the Red Sea city being a prime location for international sailing events.
In November of 2023, Jeddah was the host city chosen for the Preliminary Regatta of the 37th America's Cup sailing competition. Over the course of four days, this competitive pre-race event showcased the fastest boats in the world take on a thrilling and adrenaline-pumping contest. It was estimated that 48,000 people gathered along the Corniche and at Jeddah Yacht Club and Marina to watch the racing take place.
Undoubtedly this event paved the waves (hehe) for these exciting championships set to take place later this year.
