Asharq Discovery, the groundbreaking Arabic-language infotainment platform, celebrates its first anniversary.

Launched by SRMG, the largest integrated media group in the region, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, Asharq Discovery has quickly become a leading source of high-quality Arabic content.

With its impressive viewership, acclaimed original content, and international recognition, Asharq Discovery is poised to continue its success and shape the future of Arabic-language infotainment. Asharq Discovery's first anniversary marks a significant milestone for the platform.

A Year of Growth and Achievement

In its debut year, Asharq Discovery delivered an impressive 2,800 hours of exclusive programming from the Warner Bros. Discovery library, all translated into Arabic for the first time. Additionally, the platform produced over 92 hours of engaging original content, showcasing the rich and diverse narratives of the Arab world.

In addition to this content, throughout its first year, Asharq Discovery launched an array of exceptional original programs that explored a wide range of topics, including art, culture, and entertainment. Notable titles include "Bassma," "Food Tales," "Test Drive Riyadh," "In Other News," "The Critics," "Diet Master," and the groundbreaking docuseries "Dark Minds." "Dark Minds," currently streaming on Netflix, is the first true crime docu-series capturing stories from the MENA region.

Asharq Discovery's content has resonated with viewers, garnering over 800 million views and attracting a dedicated following of 3.3 million across its various platforms. The platform's focus on MENA-focused content has created a significant impact on the infotainment landscape in the region.

The success of the Arabic-language infotainment platform extends beyond viewership: the Asharq Discovery platform has received several international accolades, including a gold medal at the Marketing Society Awards for the "Dark Minds" promotional campaign. Additionally, the promotional video for "Dark Minds" earned a silver award at the Telly Awards, showcasing the platform's high production standards.
