Perfumes Week is a spectacular, fun event that is transforming Saudi’s perfume arena with impressive local, regional, and international brands, special appearances, and programs.
Taking over Benchmark’s Abadi Al-Johar Venue in Jeddah’s Al Basateen district from February 6 - 14, the 2025 edition features over 80 high perfumery and niche perfume brands and invites like-minded perfume lovers to immerse themselves in the world of scents.
The Brands
The 14,000 sq m exhibition accommodates some of Saudi’s most renowned names.
These include LAVERNE, a Riyadh-based luxury brand, which has collaborated with Argentinian influencer Georgina Rodríguez on a scent called Sense and Suits actor Gabriel Macht for a perfume-based campaign. WTD Perfumes and ATTARZ are other companies to watch out for, the latter adhering to Arabian perfumery traditions with their “craftsmanship parfums” like Fallen Eagle and Pasha Oud.
There’s also REEF, which blends Arabian ingredients like oud, amber, and white musk, partners with world-famous artisans, and is behind bestsellers like REEF 33 and Arab Obaya. The brand recently collaborated with influencers to celebrate sporting heritage during the King Cup.
Additionally, Kuwaiti SEDRA PERFUMES is one of the successful regional brands attendees can discover. Their collections, including Grande and Femi, aim to transport perfume lovers “back to the days when perfumes were authentic and had their own identities.”
DARALTEEB Luxury Perfumes, another Kuwaiti participant, was founded in 2001 by Abdulaziz Al Thufairi and has since expanded across the GCC and internationally. Other exciting brands include BLUE OUD, Saray Perfumes, and SOUL OF MAKEEN, which is based in Paris, one of the world’s perfume capitals and home of Cartier, a star participant at Perfumes Week.
The Appearances
The week-long ode to perfumes also grants access to a beehive of information through live panels with perfumers and industry experts like creative olfactive director Hassan Alsarraf. The Raymond Matts-influenced perfumer, who is certified by the Grasse Institute of Perfumery, has worked with various high-end brands while crafting his soul-hitting scents.
Plus, there are entrances by numerous influencers, including:
- Dr. Kholoud Al-Zaher, the force behind her own perfume brand, Dkhan, as well as Kholoud Clinic and KARMA BEAUTY
- Fouz Al Fahad, founder of BYFouzBeauty and THE REAL FOUZ BEAUTY SALON
- Zainab Al Alwan, of Zai Beauté
For some male energy, there’s Jeddah’s own MBC regular, Faisal Alghazzawi, who has backed brands like Calvin Klein, Schweppes Middle East, and David Beckham Fragrances as a lifestyle and fashion enthusiast.
Other personalities to look out for include:
- Sama Jaad, a renowned Saudi chef and founder of a namesake kitchenware brand
- Yasmeen Dakheel
- Alya Khalil
