Like many other significant names in art, Dutch paint Vincent Van Gogh only gained his due-respect post humously.

The Dutch artist, is now renowned for his Post-Impressionism style, particularly his unique use of colour to depict energy and emotion.

Van Gogh created more than 2000 works in his life time, however it was the numerous oil paintings — created in the final few years of his life — that have become iconic pieces, known throughout the world today.

Now a known name to school children, art appreciators and everyone in between, Van Gogh is the talented artist behind some of the most famous pieces of Western art, such as The Starry Night (1889), Bedroom in Arles (1888), Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers (1888) and his own self portrait.

Van Gogh's works are displayed throughout world in the Van Gogh Museum in the Netherlands, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, National Gallery in London and Musee d'Orsay in Paris to name just a few.

However, why not step outside the traditional art gallery or museum setting, and interact and experience these works in a completely different way?

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, is just that - a completely immersive art experience. Projecting a series of Van Gogh's art pieces, that move and dance viscerally on the two-storey high walls, ceilings and floors of the large warehouse like space, to the flowing music of famous music classicists such as Bach, Mozart and Saint-Saëns.

Currently this exhibit is showing in a number of states across the both Canada and the USA, but can also be found until the end of July in both Dublin, Ireland and London, UK.
