Riyadh is set to dazzle once again as the highly anticipated Riyadh Season 2024 officially kicks off on October 12th.
The announcement, made by Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Turki Al-Alshikh, has sent ripples of excitement through the Kingdom and beyond.
Following on from the extended and arguably the most successful Riyadh Season to date in 2023, Riyadh Season 2024 will officially kick off with another international sporting spectacle in October.
The opening night of the winter festivities will begin with a title fight between 33 year old, Russian professional and WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev, a 39 year old Russian-Canadian fighter who is the unified champion in the light-heavyweight division (IBF, WBC and WBO).
In a post made on X (previously Twitter), the GEA Chairman said: "...I am focusing on Riyadh Season card, wembley edition 21st of September (AJ vs. Dubois) and depending on the results and the results of Riyadh Season’s opening card (Bivol vs. Beterbiev) on the 12th of October, I will build the card for the rematch of Fury vs. Usyk on the 21st of December and another big card on the first quarter of 2025. Stay tuned."
Kicking off with another bout of high-octane boxing matches, the upcoming season promises to be bigger and bolder than ever before.
