Emirates is set to redefine basic and regular air travel with the introduction of its highly anticipated Premium Economy cabin on a selection of flights to and from Riyadh.
Starting on flights from October 1, passengers can indulge in a new level of comfort and sophistication as they journey between Dubai and the Saudi capital. Specifically, these seats will be available for passengers to book on EK 819 (7.10am, DXB-RUH) and EK 820 (9.40am, RUH-DXB).
With wider seats, extra legroom, a footrest and adjustable headrests, guests can relax and unwind in comfort. The Premium Economy dining experience is also enhanced with a dedicated menu featuring gourmet dishes. Other amenities such as larger entertainment screens and enhanced amenity kits contribute to a more luxurious journey.
Set to the newest cabin introduced by the airline within the GCC and the Middle East, Premium Economy will be available on a selection of retrofitted Boeing 777s which will service the Saudi Arabian capital.
Emirates' decision to introduce Premium Economy on the Riyadh route demonstrates its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers, and servicing a popular air-route between the UAE and the Kingdom, but perhaps also acknowledges the upcoming launch of a similar premium product from Riyadh Air in early 2025.
Currently Emirates' Premium Economy cabin class is only found on a selection of international flights from Dubai, to destinations including Auckland, Bengaluru, Christchurch, Houston, London Heathrow, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Mumbai, New York John F Kennedy, San Francisco, São Paulo, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo Narita. Zurich, Geneva and Brussels are also set to be added to this list by the end of 2024.
