The maiden voyage of the AROYA Manara, the first Saudi Arabian cruise line, will set sail from Jeddah on December 16.
A marvellous moment for Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom's travel industry, the gigantic cruise ship's first sailing will be a three-night journey, dubbed the 'Exploring the Red Sea's Charm', which will see guests indulge in a three night tour of the Red Sea, and will include a stop on the AROYA Cruises private island.
With a name that combines the words "Arabian" and "Roya" (meaning vision or dream), AROYA Cruises aims to offer Saudi nationals, expats and regional guests the opportunity to explore the Kingdom's sparkling coastlines by sea.
A first for the region, AROYA Cruises has emerged as a beacon of luxury travel and sophistication, offering GCC residents a transformative travel escape, promising guests an unparalleled experience, in what is essentially a 335-metre floating, luxury resort.
The Khuzama Experience
Ahead of this inaugural sailing, AROYA Cruises has unveiled details about an indulgent new experience available onboard the AROYA Manara: the Khuzama Experience.
With plenty of thought, the title of the experience was chosen as "khuzama" is the Arabic name for the colour 'lavender'. The warm, light purple hue is both soothing and calming, often evokes feelings of tranquility and peace. The colour is regularly used in royal ceremonies and on special occasions, in Saudi Arabia, lavender reflects the nation's rich heritage and is culturally connected with luxury.
The Khuzama Experience onboard the AROYA Manara is set to offer guests an elevated and royal experience, combining comfort, relaxation, and Arabian hospitality.
Luxury Rooms & Amenities
For those travellers with access to the Khuzama Experience, they will have access to 150+ VIP suites and even a Royal Villa. These suites and VIP accommodations will feature luxurious amenities such as large walk-in wardrobes, spacious balconies and top-end bath and wellness products.
The Khuzama Experience will also include a personal and dedicated butler service available 24 hours away.
In addition to these indulgent in-room amenities, Khuzama Experience passengers will also be able to avail of priority embarkation and disembarkation, luggage collection and delivery and complimentary WiFi access.
Dedicated Dining Experiences
Guests enjoying the Khuzama Experience can also exclusively access a dedicated luxury guest lounge that is open 24 hours a day, aptly named the Khuzama Lounge. This lounge space is ideal for those who need a quiet space to work, read a book, or simply looking to take a beat to relax, away from the bustling main deck.
In addition to this lounge space, Khuzama guests will also be able to enjoy a luxurious and private dining experience at the Khuzama Restaurant, offers a menu that blends the flavours of both traditional Saudi Arabian cooking and classic French cuisine. For those seeking a more casual dining experience, the 24-hour Khuzama Lounge offers a comfortable space to enjoy drinks and light bites.

The island and its amenities will be able to accommodate up to 2,000 guests at any one time.
