Middle Eastern travellers are no stranger to the stratospheric standards of the Aman Group, but the landscape is about to shift.

While the world watches (with anticipation) Aman’s ambitious expansion into Saudi Arabia, with the beautiful and impressive desert-carved majesty of Aman Hegra and the heritage-soaked Aman Wadi Safar, closer to the capital city slated for 2026, with recent announcements, all eyes are also looking toward a different kind of heartbeat in the UAE. While Aman is the "Sanctuary" (Sanskrit for peace), Janu is the "Soul" (soul): where Aman offers a retreat into silence and escape, Janu invites you to plug into the rhythm of the city.

Following the global success of Janu Tokyo, the brand is ready to make its Middle Eastern debut with Janu Dubai, which is set to be a declaration of a new era of hospitality and privacy. With plans for Janu AlUla also confirmed, this new wave of luxury community is built on combining an indulgent hotel with private residences available for purchase.

An Architectural Statement & Defining Features

Rising from the heart of the skyscraper towers of the busy Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Janu Dubai is set to be a masterclass in architectural contrast.

Design

Designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron, the new Janu property is set to be housed within a striking 40-story tower. Unlike the sleek glass facades of its DIFC and Downtown Dubai neighbours, Janu Dubai will showcase a more "human scale" with a tactile, mineral-inspired, pixel-like finish.

The design prioritises indoor-outdoor living, and has been designed to be 'human-centric'; integrating expansive outdoor terraces including lush, hanging gardens and green areas that together create a pedestrian-focused environment, something that is a rare find among Dubai’s high-rises.  Anchored by a staggeringly impressive 18-meter-high lobby that connects to a reimagined souk courtyard at the base, also incorporates this flowing feel between indoors and outdoors. “Embracing a meaningful connection to nature, it will integrate expansive outdoor terraces and balconies enriched with abundant planting and gardens,” confirmed Vlad Doronin, Aman’s CEO and Chairman.

Views

This striking entryway sets the stage for a 150-key luxury hotel above, complete with a limited collection of 57 Janu-branded residences. With striking dual vistas — one side overlooks the lush Zabeel Palace Gardens, while the other offers sweeping views of the Burj Khalifa and the DIFC skyline, Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, describes the vision as "more than a place to stay." While the 150 hotel suits span ten floors of the building, the Janu-branded residences occupy the building’s highest reaches to capture the most expansive panoramic views of both sides.

The Janu Club

But the true crown jewel is the Janu Club — a first-of-its-kind, invitation-only members' club designed specifically to foster social connection. Designed as the social heartbeat of the brand and the location, aims to offer guests a curated mix of business, creativity, and leisure. Moving away from the quiet solitude of traditional Aman properties, this high-energy hub features vibrant lounges, dedicated workspaces, and exclusive dining areas meant for a more "plugged-in" community.

Wellness, Fitness & Community

Janu Dubai will be home to a massive wellness and fitness hub that is planned to take up an area of more than 1,700 square metres. Moving away from the "quiet spa" feel of big-sister Aman, Janu's wellness facilities will instead focus on movement, energy and shared group wellness and fitness experiences.

Dedicated only to residents, the entire 34th floor is a "no-go" zone for the public. The whole floor will be solely and exclusively reserved for the Janu community, featuring an infinity-edge pool and a private lounge suspended above the city.

Connection over Seclusion

As the DIFC continues to straddle the worlds of finance hub and cultural nexus of art and commerce, Janu Dubai stands at its centre; not just as a building, but as a living, breathing community. With future destinations already confirmed for Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah and Saudi Arabia, the "soul" of the Middle East is just getting started.

While Aman remains the gold standard for restorative seclusion, Janu is built for the "culturally engaged traveler." Embracing the ethos of connected community, Janu thrives on the dynamic balance of opposites: night and day, work and play, yin and yang.

Residents don’t just buy a home; they gain access to the Janu Private Office, a bespoke concierge service that tailors travel and events across the global Janu and Aman portfolio. It is an ecosystem built for those who want the world at their fingertips without sacrificing the soul of their surroundings.
