Flexjet, a global leader in luxury private aviation, has officially expanded its international footprint with the opening of its first standalone European terminal at London’s Farnborough Airport.
Renowned for its fractional jet ownership model, ultra-modern global fleet of more than 350 aircraft, and bespoke Red Label service, Flexjet provides guests with elevated travel experience that extends far beyond the cabin. The brand’s new $34 million facility establishes a dedicated, home-from-home ground environment designed exclusively for its aircraft Owners and guests, setting a new benchmark for private aviation hospitality in Europe.
The new, private terminal is housed in a dedicated ramp-side building separate from Farnborough Airport’s main terminal, the expansive 2,098-square-metre facility offering seamless ground-to-air transitions. Hosted entirely by Flexjet staff, the terminal replaces traditional shared Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) services with a private, highly personalised gateway.
This new launch marks Flexjet’s first terminal outside North America, joining a growing network of nine exclusive terminals across the United States. With Farnborough serving London and Flexjet’s established terminal at Teterboro Airport serving New York City, the exclusive chartered travel brand now offers its clients private, end-to-end infrastructure between two of the world's premier financial capitals.
"This opening establishes one of the most significant branded luxury environments in private aviation and is a defining moment in Flexjet’s global expansion," said Flexjet Chairman Kenn Ricci. "It is our most ambitious infrastructure completion to date beyond our North American headquarters."
The opening follows significant momentum for the brand, including an $800 million investment led by L Catterton, private equity firm, in July 2025 and its appointment as the Official Private Aviation Supplier of Formula 1 in July 2026. Together with its expanding network of terminals, curated travel programs, and luxury partnerships, Flexjet continues to redefine the boundaries of private aviation.
The terminal's design was conceived by Carver Hain Art + Design. With a contemporary interior and modern architectural aesthetics with high-end luxury lifestyle elements, and a hint of what to expect on board. Key highlights of the new terminal and lounge include:
- The Flexjet Gulfstream G700 Fuselage Lounge: A full-scale recreation of the company’s flagship ultra-long-range cabin, complete with an LXi Cabin Collection™ master bedroom suite.
- The Owners Bar & Lounge: A central social hub featuring floor-to-ceiling airfield views, curated signature cocktails, and premier wine selections from partners Marchesi Antinori and Château Cheval Blanc.
- Bespoke Artistry: A commissioned sculpture titled 'Aero' by artist David Spriggs welcomes guests in the lobby, featuring fluid patterns inspired by aircraft wingtip vortices.
- Private Amenities: Dedicated security screening, immigration channels, and private meeting rooms reserved strictly for Flexjet Owners.
The upper level of the facility houses Flexjet’s new European operational headquarters and Tactical Control Centre, alongside an expanded Red Label Academy — the company's finishing-school-style training centre for its near-300 global Cabin Servers.
Alongside the passenger terminal, Flexjet has also commissioned a new 3,530-square-metre Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hangar on-site at Farnborough. Supported by an in-house team of over 1,500 maintenance professionals globally, the facility ensures direct engineering support and dispatch reliability for the fleet.
