Diriyah

Alongside being the original home-place of the Saudi Arabian Royal Family, and the nation's original capital city, Diriyah has long been admired for the traditional mud-brick architecture and ancient structures.

Located just outside Riyadh, Diriyah is home to the verdant Wadi Hanifah alongside At-Turaif, a recognised UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to 1766 and the new Diriyah Gate development which encompasses the brand new Bujairi Terrace.

As part of Saudi Vision 2030, Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) is working to transform 11 square kilometres of Diriyah into a pedestrian-centric hub, whilst at the same time, highlighting the rich history of the country.

The area will eventually encompass Diriyah Gate - a development project that is set to become one of Saudi’s most important historical, cultural, and lifestyle destinations.

As part of this redevelopment plan, Bujairi Terrace opened in late 2022, and sprawls across an area of 15,000 square metres. Set to be the region's go-to premium dining destination, Bujairi Terrace will include 21 dining concepts, and already includes restaurants such as Chez Bruno, Hakkasan, Long Chim and Christiano Ronaldo's Tatel.

And, from this month until Thursday, 31 August, all visitors to Diriyah will enjoy entry to the area for free with the Diriyah Summer Access 2023 pass. This summer access pass will allow visitors to wander all areas of Diriyah including At-Turaif and Diriyah without charge, this access will also include Bujairi Terrace.

Before the introduction of this new, free summer pass, there was an entry fee to visit the area, of between SAR 100 - 200 per person. This pricing is likely to be reintroduced from September onwards, so now is the time to make the most of the Diriyah Access Summer Pass 2023 and explore one of Saudi's UNESCO Heritage Sites, and discover some seriously tasty dining options - all in one place.
