The Kingdom just announced the resumption of development on the structure that is set to be the world's tallest building, towering over Dubai's Burj Khalifa in Riyadh's North Pole Project.

And, now another super tall skyscraper has been announced for the nation's mega-city, NEOM.

Discovery Tower is set to become the pinnacle of the Trojena region. Described as a 'crystalline' structure, Discovery Tower is set to stand out as an icicle of sorts in the Kingdom's soon-to-be mountainous, ski resort.

The famed architectural firm Zaha Hadid Architects have created the plans for the proposed 330-metre tall skyscraper, and it will be located on a mountain overlooking the main lake.

An exciting new addition to the vista of NEOM, Discovery Tower will include both residential and hotel accommodations, alongside an array of retail and culinary experiences. The icicle structure is set to be a focal point for the brand new Trojena region, which is expected to be completed by 2026.

Trojena is poised to become a remarkable and globally renowned destination, seamlessly harmonising the natural surrounds of the mountainous area with man-made creations and environments, and providing exceptional, people-centred experiences for both residents and tourists.

Thus far, seven internationally renowned hotel brands have been confirmed to open resorts in the mountain ski resort, including 25 Hours Hotel, Anantara, JW Marriott and W Hotel.

Within this destination, six distinct clusters will seamlessly integrate tangible and virtual architectural and engineering advancements, crafting an unparalleled experience.
