Although a natural sanctuary of flourishing palm groves, striking red desert lands and sheer cliff faces, AlUla is also home to some of the world's most coveted historic architectural structures such as the UNESCO recognised Hegra and thus the area is known as 'the living museum'.

AlUla is a unique, desert destination found on the western side of the Kingdom. Already home to some of the Kingdom's most sought-after luxury resorts, AlUla is set to get a brand new luxury wellness destination.

Enter, the Six Senses AlUla.

In the midst of this breathtaking backdrop, the resort will comprise of 100 guest villas and 25 residences, and each will be constructed using architectural techniques that seamlessly blend with the natural and historic surroundings of the area. The wellness escape is expected to radiate a level of understated elegance.

Guests will be able to immerse themselves in a number of carefully curated experiences including activities such as sunrise yoga, meditation sessions, moon bathing, ceremonial singing bowl gatherings in the evening, and dining under the moon and stars.

The Six Senses Spa will serve as a haven of tranquility and escape, integrated into the guest's path of self-discovery and expression. It will offer locally inspired treatments designed to take guests on a distinctive Arabian wellness voyage.

Dining at Six Senses AlUla will pivot on the brand's 'Eat With Six Senses' food and beverage ethos: aiming to showcase the finest regional cuisine and seasonal harvests. The dining experience is expected to include a number of unique and diverse events, ranging from exclusive chef's tables, dynamic pop-up events, and even immersive cultural cooking classes.

Further to this, the resort will be heavily involved in activities, projects and programmes for the conservation of the Arabian leopard—a significant and emblematic creature within the Kingdom's culture and ecosystem. This initiative aligns with the brand's commitment as an environmental steward dedicated to safeguarding the precious wildlife residing in its surroundings.

The AlUla site marks the second Six Senses resort in the Kingdom, while the opening of Six Senses Southern Dunes in the Red Sea area of Saudi Arabia is anticipated later this year. Similar to other Six Senses locations around the world, the both new Saudi locations will aim to provide guests with a fully-rounded luxurious wellness escape.
