From burger joints to much-loved chains, fine-dining eateries and everything in between – you’ll find it all here in the gargantuan Dubai Mall. As well as glam establishments that’ll make you struggle to believe you’re in a mall, there is also a food court (natch) and the widely acclaimed Time Out food market – foodies can sample the very best the city has to offer all under one roof.

As it’s Dubai, there’s also a fair amount of pomp and ceremony alongside the food – want your dinner shaped like the Burj Khalifa or cut out of its wrapping before your very eyes? You’re in the right place. These are the top places to eat in Dubai Mall.

1. Mix it up in China Town

Dubai Mall China Town is a mall inside the mall, where you’ll find neon ‘street’ signs, hanging lanterns and a plethora of Asian cuisine. The star of the show here is Hawker Chan, which boasts the most affordable Michelin-starred meal you'll find - and it’s well worth a try, despite the star belonging to its Singaporean branch. Order at the counter and eat canteen style - you're not here for glamorous surroundings but the taste will blow your mind. Try the chicken noodle combo or duck with rice, and be prepared to queue if you come at peak times.

2. Pile your plate high at Rang

A relative newcomer to the Dubai Mall dining scene, Rang wasted no time in being nominated for Best Indian Casual Dining by the Zomato Restaurant Awards 2025. For a supposedly “casual” place, though, it’s still pretty fancy – high arches and a view over the Dubai Fountains certainly elevate this place (ask for a window seat).

The dishes are equally as impressive; as well as being unquestionably delicious, they’re also fun to look at. Some come piled high in mountain-like shapes, others come wrapped up (and get snipped open at your table). There’s a theatrical element to the presentation here, but we love it.

Wild Souls

3. Vegans will love Wild Souls

Get some real sustenance after you hit the shops at vegan gem Wild Souls on the ground floor of Dubai Mall. At this Greek eatery you’ll find mouthwatering vegan sweet treats alongside a range of lunch dishes. The plant-based brunch is a highlight (try the healthy version of apple pie – all the taste with none of the guilt!). The restaurant area itself is part of the Wild Souls health food store, where you’ll find nut butters, gluten-free goodies, and treats to take away (trust us, you’ll want to take some of the food home with you).

4. Enjoy a range of options at Time Out Food Market

Not an individual restaurant, but a collection of eateries with family-style seating. Pick your favourite cuisine or sample a little of everything and enjoy overlooking the Dubai Fountains (sit outside on the overhang patio for a decent view but expect to have to hustle for a seat, especially at peak (lunch and dinner) times.

You can find numerous dishes (everything from a ham and cheese toastie to ceviche) from under AED 50, or opt for pricier mains. This one is perfect for families with kids – there’s enough choice for the fussiest eater, and enough noise to drown out toddler tantrums. Oh, and did we mention there’s a bar?

5. Get a taste of France at La Maison Ami

It’s easy to forget you’re in Dubai Mall (on Fashion Avenue to be exact) when you step into La Maison Ami, a perfectly-Parisian offering where classic French dishes dominate. Try the truffle scrambled eggs and the cauliflower salad with comté cheese or, for something more filling, order the grilled tenderloin. There are a handful of vegetarian large dishes on the menu but, like France, the meat dishes are the main event. Unless your children are as well behaved at the table as French youngsters, this elegant setting probably isn’t one for families.

6. Eat something Somewhere

Locally grown favourite Somewhere is the epitome of Dubai – cherry picking bits of different cultures and cuisines, resulting in unique and fun dishes such as kunafa croissant, cotton candy brioche, and baked eggs with flatbread (delicious). The restaurant is travel-themed, so expect to see nods to passports, flights and destination picks in the decor as well as the variety of food on offer. You’ll also find a generous dose of Middle Eastern dishes, made using local ingredients, with four different types of hummus and the usual local favourites.

Zaatar w Zeit

7. Stretch your budget at Zaatar w Zeit

The much-loved Zaatar w Zeit is very reasonably priced, but that’s not the reason it attracts so many customers. This Lebanese eatery has a number of branches in the UAE, and its authentic, fresh dishes are wildly popular. Find the storefront in the food court downstairs in Dubai Mall – you’ll have to go elsewhere if you’re looking for the full restaurant experience. Grab a free table and order dishes including manakeesh, fattoush, tabbouleh and wraps. Bring the kids, bring your pals – the food court is nothing if not a perfect spot to people watch.

KATA at Dubai Mall

8. KATA serves sushi with a view

Dig into the contemporary Japanese menu at KATA while overlooking the beautiful Dubai Fountains. There’s not a conveyor belt in sight here – this is high-end dining, with a menu to match. Choose from tuna sushi with caviar, truffle wagyu tartare, or a salmon dish named after the Burj Khalifa to start, followed by the wagyu tenderloin. The fresh sashimi is also top notch. There’s also an extensive mocktail menu, and the service is first class. The funky interior, with Japanese style art on the wall, is fun, but a table on the terrace is even better.
