The culinary brain behind the brand is Abdul Latif Alrashoudi, a Saudi Arabian orthopaedic surgeon who famously traded his stethoscope and scalpel for a whisk and spatula. After spending years balancing the high-stake demands of medicine and surgery, with a passion for host-worthy baking, Alrashoudi secured a spot at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Following intensive culinary training, internships at prestigious institutions like La Tour d’Argent, and a tenure as pastry chef at Treize au Jardin, he took the leap to launch his own flagship concept.

Open until September 5 at Selfridges’ iconic Corner Shop, on Oxford Street, the 'Saudi: Sky’s the Limit' destination offers Londoners an exclusive look into the Kingdom's modern luxury scene. Visitors can expect to be introduced to over 25 homegrown brands, spanning contemporary apparel, artisanal beauty, fine jewellery, and gourmet Saudi food, that prove Saudi creativity knows no bounds.
The original LÂM Bakery opened its doors in September 2023 on Rue Notre Dame de Nazareth in the trendy North Marais district of Paris. The name LÂM draws inspiration from the Arabic alphabet symbol while echoing the French word l'âme (meaning "soul"), reflecting the meticulous precision and deep passion Alrashoudi pours into every bake.
