It’s officially August, and summer is still going strong.

While the kids are gearing up to head back to school and everyone else is chasing those last-minute, nearby getaways, we’re choosing to stretch the vacation vibes just a little longer. The new month brings with it sun-drenched days, warm breezes, and the perfect excuse to cool off with something refreshing.

Crafted by Nespresso mixologist Sacha Wittorski, this fruity and refreshing iced coffee — aptly named the Thyme and Grapefruit Ethiopia Jamming — is a flavour-packed creation designed to awaken your taste buds and help you cool down in style.

Thyme and Grapefruit Ethiopia Jamming

Time to make: 5 Minutes

You Will Need: 

  • Ice cube tray
  • Large glass

Ingredients:

  • 4 Ice Cubes
  • 90ml of Tonic Water
  • 1 Nespresso Master Origin Ethiopia Capsule (Original Capsule)
  • 10ml pink grapefruit syrup
  • 1 sprig of thyme / citrus thyme

Method:

  • Put a sprig of citrus thyme into your glass. Or use regular thyme as an alternative
  • Pour in the pink grapefruit syrup
  • Add in your 4 ice cubes
  • And pour the tonic water over the ice cubes
  • Pull an espresso shot of the Nespresso Master Origin Ethiopia Capsule
  • Add in the espresso shot on top
  • Enjoy!
