Lola Brasserie debuts French elegance, cuisine and design in Jeddah

Jeddah’s dining scene continues to evolve, with Lola Brasserie emerging as its newest contender — bringing a polished, modern take on French cuisine to the Red Sea city.

From Leylaty Group, the creators of the ever-popular and MICHELIN-tipped Kuuru, Lola Brasserie is a new opening that offers diners a curated interpretation of the French culinary spirit, one that remains relatively unexplored in Saudi Arabia.

Lola Brasserie was inspired by the allure and charm of the south of France combined with the quiet luxury of Parisian café life. Designed to evoke intimacy and elegance, the restaurant's well-thought out design concept blends soft hospitality with a refined aesthetic, creating an experience that feels effortless yet thoughtful.

Step inside and it’s as if you’ve crossed continents. Sunlight filters through expansive windows, casting a gentle glow across warm wooden floors and neatly arranged tables. The open kitchen, positioned at the heart of the space, invites diners to witness each dish come to life. A central drinks bar adds to the sense of occasion, serving mocktails and coffee with precision and flair.

Every design element has purpose: neutral tones, clean lines, and delicate textures mirror contemporary French style. Artful touches and carefully placed objets d’art anchor the space with sophistication. Located on King Road in Al Khalidiyyah, Lola Brasserie greets you with flowering bougainvillea and a spacious, shaded outdoor area. During the cooler seasons, it becomes a relaxed garden for quiet dinners and lingering conversations.

Advance bookings are definitely recommended. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed warmly and led to their seats. Early evenings offer an energetic hum; by 7pm, children are no longer admitted and the ambiance shifts; lights dim, voices soften, and the mood becomes elegantly understated.

A Menu That Whisks You to Paris

Lola Brasserie Jeddah 4

Lola’s concise menu is built around quality, not quantity.

You will begin your meal with a freshly baked, traditional French baguette. Served with a crunch exterior and slightly warm, doughy interior and of course a healthy serving of salted butter, this is the perfect way to introduce diners to French dining.

The menu offers tastes of traditional French dishes, in addition to a few inspired delights, but highlights include the Salmon Tarte Flambée — crisp dough layered with sour cream, smoked salmon, caviar, dill, lemon, and edible flowers. Of course, the menu also offers a number of classic French dishes including French onion soup, richly flavoured and served with sharp Comté cheese and sourdough, and another favourite is the Escargots à la Bourguignonne.

For mains, the Steak aux Poivres pairs tenderloin with a bold pepper sauce, golden fries, and a zesty lettuce and radish salad. Seafood options include garlic and herb grilled sea bass or prawns dressed in verjuice, vanilla, grapefruit, and toasted pine nuts — a clever play on texture, flavours and aroma.

The lemongrass mocktail is a must-try. Rimmed with cardamom and sea salt, this mocktail bursts with sweet acidity. While the lavender mocktail offers a cooler, more earthy finish.

What is a meal without dessert? Finish with classic profiteroles filled with vanilla ice cream and crowned with a rich cream and warm dark chocolate, a dish no one ever regrets ordering.
