Opening for the first time outside of the United Kingdom, the Gordon Ramsay Academy has debuted in Riyadh.
Building on the success of its existing training facilities in Woking and London, the Gordon Ramsay Academy Riyadh has been developed through a strategic partnership between Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global and Al Khaleej Training and Education. The purpose-built hub introduces a sophisticated environment dedicated to culinary excellence, kitchen management, and long-term hospitality development within the region.
Spanning over 1,000 square metres on the first floor of the Narjis View Mall, the premium culinary facility is engineered to accommodate all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned kitchen enthusiasts. The academy features three practical training kitchens, a dedicated demonstration kitchen, specialised preparation areas, and sophisticated dining and lounge spaces where students can gather.
The curriculum will be rolled out in distinct phases. The initial phase focuses heavily on leisure and lifestyle classes, with approximately 20 sessions running every week from Tuesday through to Saturday. These short-form courses cover a diverse array of culinary styles, allowing participants to master classic European techniques, baking, pastry, sushi, and general East Asian cuisine. A selection of dedicated family sessions and junior chef programs are also set to be integrated into the weekly schedule to engage younger food enthusiasts.
Beyond recreational cooking classes, the second phase of the academy is explicitly designed to serve as a high-calibre launchpad for professionals looking to build careers in premium restaurants, hotels, and catering sectors. The institution has secured official backing from national authorities, earning accreditation from the Technical Vocational Training Corporation and the Culinary Arts Commission of Saudi Arabia.
These more professional culinary programs are designed to pave the way for future delivery of internationally recognised qualifications, including the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality accredited Essential Cookery Skills certificate and the Professional Cookery Diploma.
The new Riyadh campus is the flagship hub that acts as the fulcrum to a broader, ten-year development plan aimed at elevating vocational culinary education across Saudi Arabia. Under this ongoing regional rollout, subsequent Gordon Ramsay Academy locations are scheduled to debut in Jeddah and Al Khobar to capture and cultivate the growing gastronomic talent pool across the country. By empowering local students with international standards and techniques without requiring them to study abroad, the academy aligns directly with national workforce development goals, positioning the Kingdom as a major training hub for the future of global hospitality.
