Dubai has officially entered the elite ranks of global fine dining.

Last night, the fourth edition of the Dubai Michelin Awards took place at the Address Sky View hotel. With dozens of chefs, service teams, special guests and media in attendance, the award ceremony was hosted by Gwendal Poullennec, the International Director of the Michelin Guides and streamed live online to millions. 

And what a treat it was. A star studded night (literally and figuratively), the crowd witnessed history being made with FZN by Björn Frantzén and Trèsind Studio becoming the first-ever restaurants in the cosmopolitan Middle Eastern city to receive the incredible accolade of Three Michelin Stars. This milestone cements Dubai and hte Middle East's reputation as a world-class gastronomic destination.

FZN by Björn Frantzén: Scandinavian Precision Meets Asian Influence

Open just six months, FZN by Björn Frantzén is not only a new comer to Dubai's dining scene but has now been catapulted from no Michelin stars, to being one of just two, Three Michelin Star dining experiences in the city. 

FZN by Björn Frantzén brings the acclaimed Swedish chef’s signature blend of Scandinavian and Asian flavours to the Middle East. Known for its meticulous craftsmanship and innovative approach, FZN has just 27-seats and offers diners a highly sophisticated dining experience, featuring dishes that showcase luxury ingredients and flawless execution.

Now with existing three-star locations including location in both Stockholm and Singapore, Frantzén’s Dubai outpost continues the chef's tradition of culinary excellence, making it a must-visit for fine dining enthusiasts.

Trèsind Studio: A Historic Win for Indian Cuisine

Dubai’s Trèsind Studio has made history as the first Indian restaurant in the world to earn Three Michelin Stars.

The immersive, experimental and creative Indian restaurant is led by Chef Himanshu Saini, and has been a standout in Dubai’s fine dining scene since its debut in 2018 and its first admission to the Michelin Guide in 2022. Known for its incredibly immersive tasting menus, Trèsind Studio reimagines traditional Indian flavours with modern techniques, creating visually stunning and deeply flavourful dishes.

This recognition marks a significant moment for Indian cuisine on the global stage, proving that innovation and heritage can coexist beautifully.
