Craving a coffee? Try this iced Taif rose and vanilla infusion

Drawing inspiration from the fragrant highlands of Saudi's Hijaz region and Taif in particular, this iced vanilla and rose latte is a delicate sensory journey that captures the essence of Saudi Arabia. The recipe builds a sophisticated profile by layering the soft, rounded notes of a vanilla roast over a foundation of golden honey, punctuated by the ethereal aroma of authentic Taif rose water. Finished with a layer of cold-foam, this iced coffee delight reminiscent of a professional atelier creation. Garnished with warming cardamom and a single dried rose bud, or a fresh rose petal from your garden, this chilled beverage serves as a refreshing, aromatic tribute to the Kingdom’s botanical heritage.

Ingredients

  • 1 coffee capsule (Vaniglia for Original machine, Sweet Vanilla for Vertuo or Vanilio for Professional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2-3 drops of Taif rose water
  • 60ml low fat milk (or plant-based milk of your choosing)
  • Pinch of cardamom & 1 fresh rose petal or dried rose bud

Method

  • Pour honey into glass
  • Add your preferred amount of ice cubes
  • Mix the milk with the Taif rose water drops and create a cold foam, using the cool option on the Nespresso Aeroccino
  • Brew an espresso shot on top of the honey, and ice
  • Pour milk mixture over the coffee and ice
  • To finish, garnish with cardamom to your taste and a rose petal, or dried rose bud
