The Riyadh Marathon will return to the capital city for its fourth edition.
Announced by the Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA), the 2025 edition of the Riyadh Marathon has been confirmed to take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
As a road race, the Riyadh Marathon follows a 42.2km route through the Kingdom's capital city, weaving through the city's main streets and past some of Riyadh's most iconic buildings and locations.
Experience the enthusiasm of the crowd and the encouragement of fellow runners, the Riyadh Marathon is more than just a race; it's a celebration of health, fitness, and community. The event attracts runners from all over the world, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere.
Not just for elite and long-distance athletes, the Riyadh Marathon 2025 event will offer a number of races that will give runners of all levels the opportunity to participate.
Aside from the main event - the 42.2km full marathon - the Riyadh Marathon 2025 will also include a number of other races and distances such as a 4km fun run, a 10km race and a 21.1 kilometre half marathon: perfect for runners just starting out, or those looking to challenge themselves at their own level and pace.
The 2024 edition of the race saw more than 20,000 participants pacing the streets, with many taking on the challenge of 42.2 kilometres.
Riyadh Marathon 2025 - Registration Open
Registration for the Riyadh Marathon 2025 is now officially open.
Not just a 42.2km marathon, the Riyadh Marathon event will actually consist of four different races: the full marathon (42.2km), the half marathon (21.1km), a 10km race and a 4km race. The 4km race is open to participants of all ages, whilst the other races do have some age restrictions, for example only those over the age of 18 can register to run the full marathon race.

Red Sea Marathon 2025
In August of this year it was announced by the Saudi Arabian Athletic Federation, that Jeddah will welcome thousands of athletes as the first Red Sea Marathon race even has been scheduled for January 18, 2025.
This will be first official marathon race to take place in the region, but the athletic event will also feature a series of more accessible races catering to different fitness levels – a full marathon (42.2k), a half marathon (21.1km), a 10km race, and a 4km fun run.
The race will be held at the stunning ROSHN Waterfront, providing participants with breathtaking views of the Red Sea as they compete. The event aims to position Jeddah as a major regional sports hub and attract both elite athletes and recreational runners from around the world.
