The Red Sea Development Company (RSG) has made waves in the international sailing community by announcing that its luxury destination, AMAALA, will host the grand finale of the 15th edition of The Ocean Race in 2027.
This prestigious yachting event, which often dubbed the "Everest of the Seas," will bring together the world's top sailing teams to compete in a gruelling round-the-world race. And, marking a historic moment for Saudi Arabia and the sport of sailing, the final leg will culminate in the stunning waters of the Red Sea.
The partnership between RSG and The Ocean Race aligns perfectly with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and position the kingdom as a global tourism destination. By hosting this prestigious event, Saudi Arabia will showcase its commitment to sustainable development and marine conservation.
In addition to hosting the race, RSG and The Ocean Race will collaborate on various initiatives to promote ocean health and conservation. These initiatives may include educational programs, scientific research, and community outreach efforts.
By bringing The Ocean Race to Saudi Arabia, RSG aims to inspire a new generation of sailors and environmentalists and position the Kingdom as a global leader in sustainable tourism and marine conservation.
