Dubai’s malls have officially gone from retail hubs to running tracks. Dubai Mallathon is back for August 2025, offering residents a unique way to beat the heat while staying active. Launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, the initiative transforms seven major shopping centres into early-morning walking and jogging routes.

Held every day from 7am to 10am throughout August, the mallathon invites participants to walk, jog or run inside air-conditioned venues before shops open for business. The challenge caters to all levels with 2.5km, 5km, and 10km run options, plus a more relaxed walk-at-your-own-pace category. Hydration stations are available at start and finish points.

Participating malls include Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, Springs Souk, City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif, Mall of the Emirates, and Dubai Marina Mall. Entry is free, but pre-registration is required at dubaimallathon.ae, with sign-ups open until 11:54pm on August 30.

Get your steps in with a well-deserved shopping spree well within reach!
