Diriyah Art Futures is a leading hub for new media and digital art in the MENA region, and the institute has launched its inaugural Mazra'ah Media Art Residency program.
Inviting applicants, the Mazra'ah Media Art Residency program will be a three-month residency, which is scheduled to run from February to April 2025. Calling on established artists and scholars, the newly introduced residency program is designed to foster innovation and intellectual exchange among experienced artists and scholars in the fields of new media and digital arts.
In the surrounds of the UNESCO recognised, ancient city of Diriyah, the Diriyah Art Futures institute offers a state-of-the-art environment for artists and technologists to collaborate and explore new creative frontiers. The residency program provides participants with access to world-class studios and production labs, along with a generous production budget.
Creative work and pieces developed during the three-month residency will be showcased through exhibitions or incorporated into scholarly publications. Diriyah Art Futures will also facilitate opportunities for broader recognition and engagement, including further exhibitions, publications, and artist monographs.

The 2025 Residency Theme: High-Resolution Dreams of Sand
The inaugural Mazra'ah Media Art Residency program for 2025 will work under the theme, 'High-Resolution Dreams of Sand.'
It is hoped that this theme will encourages participants to produce work that engages with the context of Diriyah Art Future's physical and history location. By exploring the rich history and cultural heritage of Diriyah, artists and scholars can create thought-provoking and innovative works that reflect the region's unique perspective.
