Internationally renowned composer Hans Zimmer is set to embark on a unique and exciting project to reimagine the Saudi Arabian national anthem.
His Excellency, Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced on Sunday that he met with acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer to discuss a number of collaborative projects that will further enrich the Kingdom's cultural landscape, one of which will be to bring his signature blend of emotion and melody to the Kingdom's national anthem, "Nashid Al-Mamlaka."
This news comes ahead of Hans Zimmer's live performance at the Mohammed Abdo Arena as part of the Riyadh Season in concert at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in the Kingdom's capital city this weekend. Known for his iconic film scores like "The Lion King" and "Inception," the organisers of Riyadh Season will be bringing the Hans Zimmer Live experience to Saudi for the first time, the concert will take place on Saturday January 25.
While specifics of the project remain under wraps, the reimagining of the national anthem promises to be a captivating endeavour.
