International value fashion giant Primark is set to make its official debut in Saudi Arabia in the new year.
The low-cost, fashion driven retailer is bringing its sought-after mix of high-street trends, everyday essentials, and affordable home and beauty lines to the Kingdom for the first time. Partnering with regional retail operator Alshaya Group, the Irish-born retailer will open a flagship destination inside The Avenues – Riyadh in March 2027.
The debut Saudi destination will occupy a landmark site with over 400,000 square meters of gross leasable area, the ultra-modern development provides a fitting backdrop for Primark’s entrance into the Middle East's largest economy. The Saudi debut forms the centrepiece of an aggressive Middle Eastern growth narrative for Primark and Alshaya Group.
Primark opened its first Middle Eastern store at The Avenues in Kuwait City on October 23, 2025, again in partnership with the Alshaya Group. Following the phenomenal reception of its flagship openings, the brand expanded has most recently across Dubai — including landmark locations at Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and City Centre Mirdif — the European retailer is rapidly establishing a commanding footprint in the Gulf.
With initial entry into Kuwait and Dubai already generating record-breaking footfall, the brand is set to deepen its regional footprint this autumn with new launches at City Centre Bahrain on September 23 and Doha Festival City on October 29, 2026. Whilst the March 2027 opening in Riyadh will expand Primark’s global presence to 22 countries worldwide and five across the Middle East.
