Riyadh's artistic landscape is set to be transformed once again with the upcoming Tuwaiq Sculpture Exhibition in early 2025.
This annual event brings together renowned sculptors from around the world to create large-scale public artworks. Taking place from January 15 to February 8, 2025, the symposium offers a unique opportunity for artists to collaborate and engage with the local community.
This year's theme, "From Then to Now," invites artists to explore the interplay between past, present, and future, promising a thought-provoking and visually stunning exhibition. The finished sculptures will become an integral part of Riyadh's urban fabric, enhancing the city's cultural vibrancy and providing a captivating experience for residents and visitors alike.
The Tuwaiq Sculpture Exhibition is now accepting submissions from talented sculptors worldwide. Artists are invited to submit their portfolios and proposals for consideration, pivoting on the event's theme of "From Then to Now". The open call is available from August 4 to September 1.
Following a period of review by talented peers, selected participants - approximately 30 local and international artists - will have the opportunity to create large-scale sculptures that will become permanent fixtures in Riyadh's urban landscape. The symposium offers a unique platform for artists to showcase their work and engage with the local community.
The exhibition, open to the public from February 12 to 24, 2025, will showcase the diverse and innovative works created during the symposium.
