Commemorating the unification of the Kingdom, Saudi National Day will be celebrated by the nation on Monday, September 23.
A public holiday, National Day is a time for Saudis to come together and celebrate their shared heritage, the achievements and history of the Kingdom alongside the nation's ambitions for the future. The day is marked by a series of patriotic events, including colourful parades, fireworks displays, and cultural performances around the nation.
94th National Day Theme
Reinforcing the 2023 National Day theme, the Kingdom will once again celebrate Saudi National Day 2024 under the theme or slogan of "We Dream, We Achieve."
Honouring the past, present and acknowledging the future, National Day is a time to reflect and envision the bold potential of the Kingdom's future.
This theme reflects the Kingdom's continued progress and unwavering commitment to realising its ambitious goals, and the pillars of Vision 2030. Last year the theme truly resonated with residents and citizens of Saudi, and the celebrations served as a reminder of the nation's remarkable journey and its bright future.
The new National Day website has been unveiled by the GEA, and it states: "Our dreams have never ceased since this blessed nation began. Today, we proudly celebrate our love for our generous land and our loyalty to its wise leadership, on the occasion of 94 years since the unification of our beloved country."
Saudi National Day Imagery and Colours
The imagery used online and on socials has been meticulously designed to incorporate a number of historical locations within the Kingdom, whilst also recognising the forward-thinking mindset of modern Saudi and the development and completion of a number of mega-projects.
Places of significant cultural and historical value in the Kingdom such as AlUla and Diriyah are depicted within the National Day official imagery. With tourism and job creation at the heart of Vision 2030, the National Day imagery also celebrates the ambitious mega- and giga-projects of Sindalah, The Line and the New Murabba. Also included are references to Saudi's aim to discover new and alternative energy sources and with this in mind, projects such as the CEER Project (the introduction and creation of electric cars in the Kingdom) and the Al-Shuaiba Solar Power Plant Project.
Other projects included and represented in the official imagery are the Kingdom's Astronaut Program and the Saudi Space Agency, The Kingdom's Youth Project and Sports Boulevard. Creating new and accessible green spaces within the nation's capital city and other cities has also become an increasingly important part of the Kingdom's growth, and the imagery also touches on the incredible King Salman Park Project and the green tourist destination of Soudah Peaks.
Even the colours used in the branding of the National Day celebrations have been carefully chosen to represent the goals, ambitions and achievements of the Kingdom: a deep red signifies power, sunshine yellow represents energy, blue links to trust, bottle green to growth and light green to hope. Aqua signifying infinity, navy linking to loyalty, mid green represents glory, light red linking to harmony and teal blue-green to safety. Each of these are important aspects of the Kingdom now and in the future.
