With a remarkable career spanning over six decades, Anthony Hopkins is a legendary Welsh actor, best known for his intense and captivating performances on both stage and on screen.
Not much is known about the planned Riyadh Season performance by Anthony Hopkins, but the actor confirmed that he will be attending soon in a video shared by His Excellency and Chairman of the GEA, Turki Alalshikh on social media site, X (formerly known as Twitter).

The video shows Anthony Hopkins, the legendary actor with a penchant for composing, spending some time at the famous Abbey Road Studios, where countless iconic albums have been recorded. In the forty-second clip, Hopkins says whilst sitting in a recording studio: “Thank you Your Excellency. I am enjoying the process of making the music, for Riyadh in a few months’ time. Thank you from here in Abbey Road”.
Although still on the Hollywood acting circuit, the 86-year old has long-loved the piano, and now spends much of his time creating heart-stirring classical music compositions, regularly sharing snippets of his life and passion projects with his 5.3 million followers on Instagram.
In January of 2024, as part of Riyadh Season 2023 and The Joy Awards, Hopkins was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award. He shared a message with his Instagram followers "Thank you #JoyAwards for honoring (sic) me with the Lifetime Achievement Award.We depart this beautiful city with gratitude for the kindness and generosity bestowed upon us."

Life is a Dream
Performing a number of compositions under the title of 'Life is a Dream,' Sir Anthony Hopkins will take to the stage at Riyadh Season for just one night, on Friday January 17. Marking an interesting turn of events, and a pivotal moment in this legendary actor's career, this live musical showcase will be the actor-turned-composer's first ever live performance of his musical compositions.
The specially arranged and composed musical pieces have been written exclusively for this Riyadh Season performance, and will be brought to life by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra will be led by Maestro Matthew Freeman live in front of an audience next week. The musical performance will be broadcast live on TV next Friday, January 17 at 9.30pm Saudi time, via MBC1.

Most people will known Hopkins from his breakthrough role with his portrayal of the terrifying Hannibal Lecter in "The Silence of the Lambs," for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor in 1991. This iconic performance cemented his status as one of Hollywood's most talented actors.
