And it has been confirmed that the fifth edition of the star-studded awards show will take place in the capital, on January 18, 2025.

As always, it is expected that the fifth edition will be star-studded affair, as the Joy Awards once again will bring international personalities and local and regional talents together for an unforgettable evening in Riyadh. The show will be broadcast live on MBC's TV channels and Shahid streaming platform.
From the glamorous Lavender carpet to spectacular performances, the ceremony is a visual spectacle brought to life by a dedicated team of professionals, and it is known as being the largest awards ceremony in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The Joy Awards' mission statement is: “Guided by our vision to spread joy, one award at a time is granted through crafting stories that will remain memorable for generations to come.”
Inspired by the People's Choice Awards, the Joy Awards empowers the public to actively participate in the voting process. Fans can nominate their favourite stars via The Joy Awards' dedicated app and then vote for the final winners, ensuring that the awards truly reflect the voice of the people.
And this year, those who participate in The Joy Awards' voting process can be in with a chance to win a brand new Mercedes G Class. It is expected that the public will submit almost 12 million votes in this year's voting process.

The Joy Awards 2024
At the end of Riyadh Season 2023, the fourth edition of The Joy Awards took place on January 20, 2024.
During this celebration, legendary Welsh actor Sir Anthony Hopkins received a Lifetime Achievement Award, alongside fellow Hollywood actor Kevin Costner. Film star and Desperate Housewives icon, Eva Longoria took home an award for Personality of the Year. But, it isn't just actors recognised at The Joy Awards, the incredibly talented haute couture designer Elie Saab received an award for Diamond of the Industry.
Actor-turned-classical-composer, Sir Anthony Hopkins is set to return to Riyadh Season 2024 for a once off special performance. Although dates have not yet been announced, this is expected to be a once in a life time experience for lovers of classical music. Elie Saab also made a splash at the start of Riyadh Season 2024, with one of the most talked about fashion shows of all times. Featuring a selection of incredible haute couture designs, the Elie Saab 1001 Seasons live fashion show was an international hit.
Alongside some of the most intricate and beautiful designs, legendary singers such as Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Nancy Ajram and Amr Diab took to the catwalk for a once-off surprise performance in Riyadh Seasons' new destination, The Venue.
