Despite beginning just over one month ago, this year's edition has already welcomed an eye-watering 8 million visitors.
And now a brand-new destination, Dunes of Arabia is set to offer visitors a unique and immersive desert experience, featuring diverse activities and events for all ages. Located in Al-Tuwaiq, north of Riyadh, "Dunes of Arabia" promises daily adventures, suitable for the whole family.
What to Expect at Dunes of Arabia
Dunes of Arabia is another new addition for Riyadh Season 2024, a brand new, immersive experience is set to delight visitors - both local and international - from December 15. Found in the picturesque Al-Tuwaiq region, north of Riyadh, "Dunes of Arabia" promises a unique blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation.
Dunes of Arabia is an immersive desert experience that transports visitors to a world of desert enchantment, as part of Riyadh Season 2024, this captivating destination offers a range of thrilling activities and cultural experiences. From exhilarating desert safari experiences across the desert's golden sands to mesmerising cultural performances that showcase the rich heritage of Saudi Arabia, Dunes of Arabia is set to have a little bit of something for everyone.
Visitors to Dunes of Arabia can also indulge in a selection of delicious local dishes and try some tradition Saudi Arabian cuisine, shop for unique souvenirs, and immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of this desert oasis, which truly comes alive at night. This new desert experience zone will offer visitors a selection of adventures activities including camel rides, horse riding, and quad biking sessions.
Families can enjoy a dedicated children's oasis with educational and recreational activities, while those seeking tranquility can unwind amidst the dunes in a luxurious camping experience.
Riyadh Season 2024
The fifth edition of Riyadh Season kicked off on October 12, with a high-profile boxing match between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol at the Kingdom Arena and an energetic opening ceremony concert featuring the iconic vocals and smooth melodies of 90s and 00s icons, Ciara, Missy Elliot and Busta Rhymes.
And the excitement of this year's edition has continued with a number of internationally reported events, including the high-stakes 6 Kings Slam and what could possibly have been Rafael Nadal's final tennis match before retiring, and most recently the Elie Saab 1001 Seasons live fashion show, which featured performances from Jennifer Lopez, Nancy Ajram and Celine Dion.
Already entirely successful, this year's Riyadh Season has seen the introduction of brand new zones, exciting new exhibits, massive new venues and an expanded selection of activities. Five new country zones have opened as part of the season's Boulevard World destination, visitors can now discover Saudi Arabia, Africa and Courcheval Ski Town to name just a few. In addition to new zones, the newly built event space, The Venue, has hosted a number of thrilling sporting events, and Al Suwaidi Park has become a hub for cultural events and community.
