Saudi Arabia's journey to becoming a World Cup host began with an official bid submission by key figures including His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal Al Saud, Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and Yasser Al Misehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF). The proposal, highlighted by the involvement of young talents from SAFF’s youth regional training centers, was presented to FIFA officials in Paris on July 29.

Endorsement from the top echelons of Saudi leadership came from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, underscoring the national commitment to the success of this grand venture.
