How much does it cost?

What upgrades were implemented?

Over the last five months, performances were placed on pause and the initial renovation phase was implemented, this involved completely renovating the foundation of the fountain and lake. The initial phase of renovation focused on crucial groundwork, including draining the entire Burj Lake to replace the old surface with a new, stronger floor featuring enhanced water insulation and fresh tiling, ensuring the fountain's long-term safety and reliability. These upgrades included the draining of the fountain to add new tiling, fix lighting, improve waterproofing and enhanced water insulation, in addition to a stronger base beneath the lake and for the new show.

Alongside the structural renovations and updated timetable, the new choreography is expected to be the final element that truly brings the updated fountain show to life once again. The resulting performance (especially at night) is a jaw-dropping blend of light, music, and incredible water displays that promises visitors an unparalleled and memorable spectacle.

Phase Two of Dubai Fountains Revamp

Looking ahead, the fountain's operator, Emaar, has confirmed that Phase Two of the upgrade is underway and slated for completion in the second quarter of 2026. This next stage will introduce cutting-edge technological enhancements to the show itself. Visitors can look forward to even more dynamic and precise choreography thanks to the integration of advanced systems, including the increased use of underwater robotics to control water and light movements. This commitment to innovation ensures the Dubai Fountain will continue to push the boundaries of entertainment, offering a more dazzling and immersive experience for audiences worldwide.
