Until December 16, the Red Sea city will host the fifth edition of the Jeddah Book Fair.
Organised and inaugurated by the Saudi Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, this year's event will see over 1,000 local, Arab and international publishing houses spread across approximately 400 pavilions, showing their latest and most established publications.
Taking place in Jeddah's Superdome, Jeddah Book Fair 2023 will explore the theme of 'Ports of Culture'.
Visitors will be able to take part in a number of panel discussions and seminars, and there will also be a selection of interactive activities such as French language workshops and classes on the development and publication of comic books.
Of course, celebrating local talent, the dedicated Saudi Author Corner showcases an array of over 100 titles from self-published Saudi writers, offering them a platform to exhibit their literary creations.
Aiming to appeal to all age ranges, there are also a series of workshops that are tailored to suit children, and keep them interested. A dedicated pavilion, offering a blend of educational and recreational activities for all ages, including performances, theatre displays, puppet workshops, fashion exhibits, culinary showcases, musical presentations, storyboard workshops, and a variety of engaging events.
