Want cherry-painted nails, the silkiest hair of your life, or glowing, radiant skin? All this and more is on offer in Jeddah’s beauty salons, which are full of creative, dedicated and welcoming stylists, ready to make your beauty dreams come true.
There’s a full spectrum of salons in the city, ranging from no-fuss, budget options to luxury grooming temples that offer the very latest in skin and hair care, delivered in beautifully designed settings. Whether you’re in search of a great spot for some everyday self-care or a full head-to-toe session ahead of a special occasion, there is a beauty parlour to suit you. From nails and lashes to facials, make-up and massages, here are some of the best beauty parlours in Jeddah.
1. Bouthaina
One of Jeddah’s oldest and most trusted beauty salons, Bouthaina first opened in 1987. Since then, it’s remained highly popular and has opened an additional three elegant branches across the city, in Tahlia, Obhur and Mohamadia. These beautiful, airy beauty parlours are decked out in serene neutrals, a soothing setting to spend a few hours relaxing in while you get your grooming done.
Bouthaina really is a one-stop shop for beauty services, as they offer hair removal (waxing, bleaching and threading), intensive facials (carboxy and collagen masks and vitamin shots), manicures and pedicures, and make-up. Perhaps their most luxurious experiences on offer are the Moroccan Hammam treatments (from SAR 287.50) which include a glorious traditional scrub-down for soft and sweet-smelling skin. Keep an eye on their social media accounts for regular special offers and new treatments.
2. Surayya Salon
This long-standing Indian beauty parlour is conveniently located on Tahlia Street and stays open until 11pm each night. While Surayya Salon has more of a no-frills approach than some of Jeddah’s more luxurious salons, customers love the friendly staff and rave about the services offered. It’s known as one of the top places in town for waxing and threading, so whether you want a full-body defuzz or just your brows defined and perfected, you’ll be in safe hands with the experienced technicians here.
The salon also specialises in hair treatments and offers a great range of smoothing and straightening services as well as colour and styling. Best of all, the salon prides itself on providing great beauty services for those on a budget, and often has seasonal sales and offers – call ahead for a quote.
3. Zima Nails
Competition is stiff for the best nail bar in Jeddah, but Russian nail bar Zima Nails is definitely one of the top-rated spots. Based in Haifaa Mall, the ice-blue decor with sparkly chandeliers gives off Disney snow queen vibes – a quick stop here for a mani-pedi makes for a feel-good shopping break. Staff use Russian manicure techniques for extra precision, hygiene and nail health.
As well as classic mani-pedis, Zima offers indulgent spa treatments plus deep cleaning and repair of damaged feet. On the creative side, the nail art is spectacular, with technicians offering ombre, hand drawn or airbrushed designs that are as playful or chic as you like. A spa luxury manicure costs SAR 172.50.
4. The Ninth
For the fullest, flutteriest lashes in town, head to The Ninth. Offering eyelash lifts and extensions, the lash technicians can work their magic with any kind of look you want, whether that’s subtle, natural-looking enhancements or sultry, high-glamour styles. Salon lash extensions cost SAR 399. The team also specialise in brows, and offer microblading and touch-ups as well as tinting and lamination.
Lip blushes are on the menu too. The Ninth’s salon is located in Rovan Tower, but the team also offer home services – ideal if you’re someone who prefers beauty treatments in the privacy and comfort of your own place, or feel like hosting a joint beauty session with friends and family.
5. Oriana
As one of Jeddah’s most luxurious salons, Oriana is known for really pampering its customers with gentle, attentive and highly professional service. Soft wood furnishings and pretty plants create a calm ambience and emphasise the salon’s ethos of celebrating natural beauty. There’s a long list of beauty, hair and body services on offer here, from indulgent massages to hair treatments, waxing, makeup and lash extensions.
However, the salon is particularly popular for its cutting-edge facials which include Deep Cleansing (SAR 485), Mesotheraphy, Hydra Lifting and Oxygen treatments. Prices are certainly on the high side but Oriana has a permanent package offer of buy-four-get-one-free, which applies to hair treatments, Moroccan baths, massages and facials.
6. Shade Beauty Centre
Both busy branches of Shade Beauty Centre (in Al Andalus and Ash Shati) are fantastic all-rounder beauty spots, and these ladies-only parlours are great destinations if you want head-to-toe grooming at reasonable, mid-range prices. A basic blow dry starts at SAR 57.50, and there are also intensive softening hair treatments on offer, masks, brows, lashes, facials, mani-pedis and make up. If you have little ones in tow, you can treat them to a Little Girls Mini Manicure or haircut too.
7. Head & Co
If true beauty comes from within, then Head & Co is a great place to start. Describing itself as ‘a journey of the soul, body, and mind,’ it’s a destination spa that focuses on your overall wellbeing (as well as your hair). The relaxation starts as you enter the soothing spa zone, which features traditional Korean design accents, orange trees and colourful hanging lanterns.
Head & Co’s signature experience is the Hyggee Spa Treatment (SAR 490) for detoxification. Using Korean therapeutic techniques that focus on scalp pressure points, the massage cleanses the scalp, removing build-up and dead skin cells. Add on a blow dry if you want to leave the spa restored to full presentability, or a reflexology foot massage for extra relaxation before you head home.
