SRMG Labs, the innovative creative agency under the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG), has made a resounding debut at the prestigious Clio Awards, securing two Clio Music Grand Awards and a total of five accolades for Billboard Arabia's "Sounds of the Land" campaign. The agency also earned the coveted title of In-House Agency of the Year.
The Clio Awards, renowned as a pinnacle of achievement in advertising, design, and communication, recognise the highest standards of creative excellence globally. Founded in 1959, the awards are judged by an international panel of esteemed professionals, making SRMG Labs' achievement a testament to their exceptional talent and innovative approach.
The award-winning "Sounds of the Land" campaign was conceptualised to celebrate Billboard Arabia's commitment to authentic Arab music by showcasing the diverse landscapes of the Arab world. The campaign ingeniously blended art and science, drawing parallels between the grooves of vinyl records and the majestic valleys of the MENA region.
Using advanced technology, satellite imaging, and topographical data, the campaign analysed maps from iconic locations such as AlUla (Saudi Arabia), Tafilah (Jordan), Tinghir (Morocco), Kadisha Valley (Lebanon), and Luxor (Egypt). These landscapes were then transformed into sound, creating a unique auditory experience that resonated with audiences.
SRMG Labs' "Sounds of the Land" campaign garnered significant recognition, winning Grand Awards in the categories of "Use of Artists, Talent, and Influencers" and "Packaging." Additionally, the campaign received four Gold Awards for "Direct Marketing," "Data Visualisation," "Use of Artists, Talent, and Influencers," and "Innovation," as well as a Bronze Award in the "Branded Entertainment and Content" category.
Since its inception in 2022, SRMG Labs has consistently demonstrated its creative prowess, establishing itself as a leading agency specialising in innovative media, branding, and digital solutions.
