In a major development for the region’s digital and creative economy, telecom leader stc group and Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing media production capabilities across Saudi Arabia.
Announced at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, the strategic partnership brings together stc group’s digital infrastructure, cloud services, and telecommunications network with SRMG’s media footprint, creative expertise, and content production operations. Together, the two entities aim to strengthen the Kingdom's position as a hub for high-quality, tech-driven content creation.
Driving Innovation Across Five Key Pillars
Under the agreement, stc group and SRMG will collaborate on five priority areas designed to modernise how content is produced, edited, and distributed:
- High-Efficiency Connectivity: Utilising ultra-fast fibre optics and edge computing to enable seamless remote production environments and cloud workflows for SRMG's operations.
- Next-Generation Production Centres: Assessing opportunities to establish state-of-the-art facilities equipped with advanced broadcast systems.
- Secure Cloud Platforms: Streamlining media storage, editing, digital asset management, and post-production collaboration to speed up delivery pipelines.
- Emerging Technologies: Exploring modern media tools, including virtual production, real-time processing, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR).
- AI-Enabled Workflows: Integrating artificial intelligence to optimise content delivery and streamline production scaling.

By combining digital architecture with storytelling expertise, the stc-SRMG alliance marks a direct step forward in building a modern creative ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
