Riyadh is about to get another major addition to its rapidly expanding retail and lifestyle landscape. Westfield Riyadh, Cenomi Centers’ flagship destination, is scheduled to move into its operational phase in Q4 2026, with structural works now complete and pre-leasing close to 94%.
The project is being positioned as more than a conventional shopping centre. Across 220,000 square metres of gross leasable area, Westfield Riyadh will combine retail, luxury, dining, entertainment, media, wellness and workspaces, with more than 300 stores, 70-plus flagship stores and more than 30 brands making their debut in Saudi Arabia.
Here is everything confirmed about the new destination so far.
When will Westfield Riyadh open?
The latest update from Cenomi Centers confirms that Westfield Riyadh is expected to transition into its operational phase during Q4 2026. In August 2026, the official Instagram page for Westfield Riyadh noted that the mall would preview in October 2026, but no exact opening date has been confirmed. Earlier reports had referred to September 2026, but the Cenomi's most recent guidance references only Q4 2026, which should be treated as the current timeline.
As of June 30, 2026, structural completion had reached 100%, while pre-leasing stood at close to 94% based on agreed Heads of Terms, signed Letters of Intent and executed contracts.
Where is Westfield Riyadh?
Westfield Riyadh is situated along King Khalid Road (at the intersection with Prince Turki Ibn Abdulaziz Al Awwal Road) on the west side of Riyadh city. It is positioned adjacent to the upscale residential neighbourhood of Al Raed and sits just 3 to 6 minutes from the Diplomatic Quarter, Laysen Valley, and Digital City.
According to Cenomi's project information, the destination is approximately three minutes from Riyadh's Diplomatic Quarter, 15–20 minutes from King Abdullah Financial District and around 30 minutes from King Khalid International Airport, depending on time of day and local traffic conditions. The new Westfield site is also positioned close to Riyadh's metro network.

How big will Westfield Riyadh be?
The soon-to-open shopping and leisure destination will be one of Cenomi Centers' largest developments, it will includes 155,000 square metres of retail space and 65,000 square metres of prime office space. Cenomi expects Westfield Riyadh to attract approximately 24 million visitors annually and generate more than SAR 5 billion in annual retail spending. These are projections rather than current visitor figures, and are based on the destination reaching its expected operating maturity.
Cenomi expects Westfield Riyadh and Westfield Jeddah to become its two highest-performing malls in terms of footfall and revenue. Together, the two projects are expected to contribute more than SAR 800 million.
What can we expect from Westfield Riyadh?
When it opens, Westfield Riyadh will represent a considerable expansion of the capital's retail offering — but its proposition is deliberately broader than shopping.
Shopping
Akin to other Westfield locations across Europe, the USA and Australia, retail will remain at the heart of Westfield Riyadh. The massive mall is expected to become the Riyadh home to more than 300 stores. Among these will be 70-plus flagship stores and more than 30 brands making their debut in Saudi Arabia. A major component will be the 30,000-square-metre luxury area, which is expected to house more than 90 brands in its own right. Cenomi has described this high fashion district as a dedicated luxury destination featuring leading international maisons, although a complete public tenant list has not yet been released.
Dining
As in most malls, dining options and experiences form another major part of the destination, and Westfield Riyadh will be no different. Four signature dining districts have been planned for Westfield Riyadh, Cenomi has described these as being distinct food-and-beverage destinations rather than a single conventional food court. The final restaurant line-up has not yet been comprehensively announced, so it is too early to publish a definitive list of restaurants expected at opening.
Entertainment
Designed to be an entertainment destination as much as a mall, Westfield Riyadh is expected to offer more than 50 experiences, alongside a children's theme park and what Cenomi describes as Saudi Arabia's first sportainment hub. The sportainment concept will combine sports and entertainment. The entertainment side of the development will also include a digital museum, which the company has described as the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia.
Details released in earlier phases of the project also referenced cinemas, gaming and a substantial events programme, although nothing further has been confirmed.
The Jewel / Al Jawhara
According to the Journal of Property Management, The Jewel (Al Jawhara) is set to be at the heart of Westfield Riyadh. This will be an immersive digital experience designed to combine architecture and technology. The project has been described as featuring live shows every 30 minutes, a 20-metre-tall interactive display, atmospheric water effects and projections across 3,500 square metres of roof space.
Live TV & Radio Broadcasting
One of the newest announcements surrounding Westfield Riyadh is its partnership with MBC Group, which will bring live television and radio broadcasting directly into the destination. A permanent, 1000+-square-metre live broadcast studio will be located behind the Al Jawhara zone, and MBC have said they will begin broadcasting as soon as the location opens. The media broadcaster has said that programmes including Sabah Al Khair Ya Arab and Kalam Nawaem will be broadcast in the studio, alongside radio programming, celebrity appearances, audience activations, special broadcasts and content creation initiatives.
Architecture & Design
When it comes to design and architecture, one of the project's most distinctive architectural features will be the mall's enormous skylight, measuring 38,000 square metres, Cenomi describes it as the largest skylight in the Middle East. The scale continues inside, where floor-to-ceiling heights will reach 27 metres, while the main corridors will be a generous 30 metres wide. The combination is designed to create a sense of openness across the extensive retail and leisure environment.
Other Westfield Malls in Saudi
Westfield is establishing a three-mall presence in Saudi Arabia, spanning Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. The first phase of Cenomi Centers' partnership with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield covers Westfield Riyadh, Westfield Jeddah and Westfield Dammam, with the Riyadh and Jeddah destinations representing the brand's two major new-build flagships.
Technically the first Westfield destination to open in the Kingdom, Westfield Dammam is not a purpose built destination by the Westfield brand. Originally the mall opened as Nakheel Dammam in 2019, before being rebranded and brought under the Westfield name on December 1, 2025.
