An exciting development for Saudi travellers, the announcement of visa-free travel to south-Asian island country will eliminate the hassle of visa hurdles and will simplify travel for Saudi citizens seeking to explore the beauty of Sri Lanka.

Coming into effect from October 1, Saudi passport holders will be able to visit Sri Lanka for up to 30 days, visa-free. This policy change aims to attract more international visitors and strengthen Sri Lanka's tourism industry.
According to statistics released by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Saudi, approximately 35,000 Saudi nationals already visit Sri Lanka each year, and this number will undoubtedly increase with the introduction of this new immigration policy.
In addition to this newly announced visa-free entry to Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabian nationals and passport holders can access visa-free travel to more than 50 different countries around the world including Barbados, Thailand, South Africa, Singapore, and the Seychelles. Visa-free travel for Saudi Arabian citizens and passport holders to Sri Lanka to be introduced from October 1, 2024 and this visit visa will be valid for a maximum period of 30-days.
