The Kingdom's low-cost carrier, Flynas is aiming to make family travelling as smooth as possible with a brand new, dedicated check-in at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport.
Often the pre-flight experience for families traveling with young children is notoriously stressful, marked by long queues, juggling baggage and child-minding and waiting procedures that are not suited for easily-bored and energetic children. Saudi low-cost carrier Flynas is tackling this friction head-on by launching the first-ever dedicated "Kids & Family" check-in counters at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport.
This initiative, which has already been introduced in Riyadh's international airport, is a strategic move to cement the airline’s position as the preferred family-friendly carrier in the region by focusing on service innovation and customer-centricity. The specialised check-in area is designed to streamline the process, minimise wait times, and — most notably — turn a mundane airport task into a fun, inclusive, and thoughtful start to the journey for both parents and children.
The new counters are meticulously designed to appeal directly to young travellers, featuring a custom, child-height counters, vibrant branding, and engaging visuals of Flynas' cheerful mascot, Fernas. Beyond the fun aesthetics, the service offers tangible benefits: dedicated, specially trained personnel are on hand to efficiently manage family-specific needs, including child restraints, strollers, and the excess baggage that often accompanies infant travel.
As a final, personalised touch, children are even issued customised boarding passes, ensuring that the young passengers truly feel like the "Stars of the Journey" from the very first step inside the airport. Flynas plans to roll out this pioneering service to other key domestic and international destinations in the coming months.
