Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport achieved a significant milestone in 2024, recording the highest annual passenger traffic in the history of Saudi airports.
The airport served over 49.1 million passengers throughout the year, marking a remarkable 14 percent increase compared to the previous year.

This surge in passenger numbers was accompanied by a significant increase in flight operations.
The airport recorded over 278,000 flights in 2024, reflecting an 11 percent growth. Furthermore, the airport efficiently handled 47.1 million bags, demonstrating a substantial 21 percent increase in baggage handling capacity.
Mazen Johar, CEO of Jeddah Airports Company, attributed this remarkable growth to the airport's rapid operational expansion. He emphasised the crucial role of the Kingdom's leadership and the unwavering support of the transport sector's authorities in driving this significant achievement.
