Which Saudi cities rank on Top Quality of Life Index for 2025?

The latest data from Numbeo's 2025 indices offers a fascinating glimpse into the quality of life across various cities across the Middle East and Asia.

While the overall quality of life indicators encompasses numerous factors, including purchasing power, healthcare, and cost of living, the Safety Index provides a crucial lens through which to evaluate the attractiveness and well-being of a location.

Topping the list for overall Quality of Life in the Middle East is Muscat, Oman, boasting an impressive index of 193.8. This high ranking is underpinned by a notably strong Safety Index of 81.2, indicating a high perception of security within the city. Muscat also demonstrates a solid Purchasing Power Index of 119.4, suggesting residents have a good ability to afford goods and services.

Following closely in the overall Quality of Life ranking is Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with an index of 185.6. Abu Dhabi also shines in terms of safety, holding a robust Safety Index of 88.6, the highest among the listed Western Asian cities. This strong sense of security, coupled with a significant Purchasing Power Index of 141.1, makes Abu Dhabi a highly appealing urban centre.

Jeddah secures the third position for Quality of Life with an index of 180.9. Jeddah also boasts a commendable Safety Index of 74.5, further enhancing its appeal. Its Purchasing Power Index is notably high at 160.1, suggesting a strong economic standing for its residents. Whilst the Kingdom's capital city of Riyadh, ranks in 9th place with a Quality of Life Index rating of 165.9 and a Safety Index rating of 75.3, presenting a generally positive environment for residents and locals living and working in the city.
