In conjunction with the metro, public transport buses will extend their hours to operate daily from 6.30am to 3am. This extended bus service is designed to provide comprehensive public transport coverage throughout the night, particularly ensuring that transport options are available to service Suhoor timings, the final pre-dawn meal.

This public bus service was launched in March 2025, and acts as a strategic initiative designed to seamlessly integrate with the city's burgeoning and popular metro system. Operating across seven strategically selected zones, the Bus-on-Demand service connects passengers from designated pick-up points directly to major transport hubs. These zones, encompassing Ghirnatah, Aqiq and Hittin, Yarmouk and Ishbiliyah, Qurtuba, AlWadi, Al Falah and An Nada, West Al-Uraija and Tuwaiq, Andalus and An Nahdah, and Aziziyah, cover a wide section of the city, ensuring accessibility for a large segment of the population.

This service aims to bridge the gap between residential areas and the city's key metro stations, offering residents a convenient and efficient transport solution.

  • Sunday to Thursday: 7.30am - 3.00am
  • Friday: 10.30am - 3.30am
  • Saturday: 10.30am - 3am

These revised transportation schedules reflect the authorities' commitment to ensuring that individuals can easily travel to and from religious observances, family gatherings, and other Ramadan-related activities. The adjustments are particularly important during Ramadan evenings, when many people engage in social and cultural events.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to take note of these changes and plan their journeys accordingly. The Riyadh Public Transport authority aims to provide a reliable and convenient transportation experience throughout the Holy Month.
