Riyadh Season 2023 is approaching, and we are ready.

We often associate Riyadh Season with dazzling firework displays, thrilling theme-park rides, and of course family-friendly entertainment, and this year promises to be something extraordinary.

However, this year's event is also set to be a hub for exciting and enticing sporting events. The season will feature various sporting events that are set to cater to a range of interests and passions, from wrestling to tennis, football and more.

Battle of the Baddest: Fury v. Ngannou

Date: October 28

In what could possibly be the most anticipated boxing match of the last quarter of 2023, two-time, and undefeated heavyweight boxing world champion Tyson Fury will take on the French-Cameroonian, mixed martial arts expert, Francis Ngannou, in the athlete's boxing debut.

Although a non-title event, the spectacle head-to-head is expected to run for ten-rounds.

And, the event will be streamed live around the world by TNT Sports.

Battle of the Baddest: Undercard

Date: October 28

With an exciting headline event, the Battle of the Baddest event will also feature several exciting fights on the undercard. Three exciting heavyweight fights are expected to take place on the same night as Fury v. Ngannou, and these will be followed by one super welterweight head-to-head.

Defending WBC-NABF heavyweight champion, Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov will take on American professional boxer, Junior 'Hurricane' Anthony Wright in a heavyweight head-to-head.

Holding national titles, British sportsman Moses Itauma will get into the ring with Hungarian boxer, Istvan Bernath. The two will battle it out in another heavyweight match.

Carlos Takam has previously taken on Anthony Joshua, and represented Cameroon in the Olympics, but the boxer's latest event will be to take on Congolese professional boxer, Martin Bakole in the final heavyweight event of the evening.

MMA-fighter-turned-boxer, Jack McGann will face off against Alcibiade Duran Galvan, who has won his last three fights in a super welterweight competition.

WWE Crown Jewel

Date: November 4

The WWE Crown Jewel event is set to be a thrilling wrestling exhibition, and the event will officially mark ten years of collaboration between Saudi's Ministry of Sport and WWE. Fans will be able to catch these showdowns on the streaming platform, Shahid.

Fans of WWE can expect to see Rhea Ripley take on Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler. Zoey Stark and Raquel Rodriguez in a massive five-way match for the title of Women's World Champion. TikTok and YouTube superstar Logan Paul will take on Rey Mysterio, whilst Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre will go head-to-head. Other big names on the fight night title are Roman Reigns, LA Knight and even John Cena.

Dates: December 26 & 27

Move over Wimbolden, the Riyadh Season 2023 Tennis Cup is bringing together the greats and the amateurs for an incredible tennis exhibition, and several exciting matches are planned to take place over two days.

Tennis prodigy and Turkish sportswoman, Ons Jabeur although ranked seventh will make for an excellent opponent against current world number-one, Belarusian sensation, Aryna Sabalenka. Whilst, legend Novak Djokovic will take on world number one, twenty-year-old Carlos Alcaraz.

Riyadh Season 2023 Turkish Super Cup

Date: December 30

A brand-new sporting event set to end the year on a high, the Riyadh Season 2023 Turkish Super Cup will appeal to any football fans looking for a thrilling match. Professional football club based on the European side of the city of Istanbul, Galatasaray will take on Fenerbahçe from the Turkish side of the city.
