The world's best boxers arrive in Riyadh ahead of Day of Reckoning

This weekend saw the world's top rated boxing talent land into the Kingdom's capital ready to start training camps ahead of the Riyadh Season 'Day of Reckoning' boxing event.

Anthony Joshua, Deontae Wilder and Sanchez Fa, all arrived in the capital this weekend to begin a regimented training camp in preparation for the fights ahead, in less than two weeks time.

With a number of high-profile names on the bill, the action packed showdown will take place in front of thousands of sporting fans on the evening of December 23 at the purpose-built Kingdom Arena. This will be the final high-octane sporting event of the year, with several head-to-head fights taking place all in the same night.

Riyadh Season's Day of Reckoning fight night will consist of several much-anticipated, head-to-head bouts, where crowds will watch on as WBC heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder goes up against WBO heavyweight Joseph Parker, and on the same night, British two-time World Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will take on current WBO Continental champ, Einar Wallin.

To round out the sporting events of Riyadh Season 2023, the unbeatable Tyson Fury will once again glove up in front of the crowds, and will take on another opponent, Ukranian boxing legend Oleksandr Usyk on February 17 of next year.

This fight is billed as 'the fight of the century' as professional boxers are heavily decorated, and both have a lot to lose; with Usyk holding titles across multiple weight classes in the International Boxing Organisation, World Boxing Organisation and World Boxing Association, whilst Fury has maintained his heavyweight title from World Boxing Council since 2021.
